We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in next generation sequencing technologies.
In particular the candidate must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, molecular biology or related field; strong experience in development of next generation sequencing such as optical or electrical sequencing technologies and ability to analyze large datasets.
Experience in assay methodology and design, and single-molecule assay development is required. Expertise in Plasmonics and nano-optics will be considered a plus. Excellent presentation and writing ability together with publication of original scientific work in high-quality journals will be highly valued.
The candidate to this position will work, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, on a challenging project in the field of novel sequencing technologies and enable entirely new applications.
We offer a post-doctoral position in Genoa for 2 years with competitive annual remuneration depending on candidate’s experience.
The appointed post doc will be in charge of investigating and optimizing novel approaches for the single molecule sequencing using plasmonic nanostructures. The design and the fabrication of the nanostructures will be carried out by the rest of the group.
